Privacy Policy

This is a draft template, not legal advice — have it reviewed once you're processing payments or collecting more than the minimal data described below (e.g. if you add analytics or a support-ticket system).

1. What we collect

EmuTrainer is designed to collect as little as possible. Today, that's:

Data	Why
Email address	Tied to your license/account, used for support and account recovery.
License status (tier, active/inactive)	To determine which cheat features you can access.

EmuTrainer does not read, collect, or transmit the contents of your save files, gameplay data, or anything from the games you emulate. The desktop app only reads/writes memory inside your local emulator process to apply cheats you enable — that never leaves your machine.

2. Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — only what Stripe shares back, such as the last 4 digits, card brand, and subscription status. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how it handles your payment details directly.

3. Infrastructure

Our backend runs on Cloudflare (Workers, D1, KV, R2) to serve cheat data and verify licenses. Cloudflare processes requests (including your IP address, transiently, as part of normal request handling) as our infrastructure provider.

4. What we don't do

We don't sell your data.
We don't run third-party ad trackers on the desktop app.
We don't require any personal information beyond an email to use a license.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and license data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected]; we'll remove your account record within 30 days, subject to any records we're legally required to keep (e.g. for tax purposes on completed payments).

6. Children's privacy

EmuTrainer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect account and license data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
